Por qué esta historia importa ahora
Cracking down on cheating in multiplayer games is akin to playing whack-a-mole at times. When you take down one cheat seller or hacker, plenty of others pop up in their place, and the cycle continues on and one.

Some games have resorted to new levels of anti-cheat, with Valorant’s Vanguard system being one of the most effective. The kernel-level anti-cheat has undergone some changes over time too, with Riot now allowing certain players to only have it activated once they start playing a Riot title.

Over the last few days, there have been complaints from Valorant players, including Subroza, about cheaters being on the rise. “Valorant anti-cheat is the worst of all popular games at high level. Their updates last 2 days of new act and then there's 20000 cheaters per game,” the pro player said.

That complaint, coupled with plenty of others from fans, drew a response from Phillip Koskinas, Valorant’s head of anti-cheat.
“Going through your reports, and almost all of the accused are not cheating. The one player that was is already banned,” he said, noting that some of the cheating was down to them “stream sniping” Subroza.
“Definitely more common now, about 2x more bans per day in most ranks,” Koskinas told another player.
“However, some of this is because cheaters don't really try to cheat quietly anymore, they just get back in and start blasting.”
“A lot of vibed cheats out there right now. We do bonk them easily in post, but we're seeing way more attempts just from the allure of telling Claude to make you radiant,” he noted
The head of anti-cheat also flagged specific accounts after urging players to post some Riot ID’s from their recent reports.
Koskinas previously said that cheaters are “inevitable,” but Riot is always cracking down and rolling out massive ban waves.46:T1259, Valorant’s head of anti-cheat
