A house listing in Colorado has gone viral on social media as it says the buyer won’t be able to look around due to people still living there.
When you’re going through the stressful process of buying a house, you can’t just rely on a listing. You need to go and see the home for yourself, especially if it is an older building that has had a few owners. The listings won’t mention all of the issues, and you may end up with an unexpected bill.
If you’re buying from someone else, you usually have to organize a time and day to see the house, just so you’re not impeding their life.
Well, over in Colorado, a Zillow listing has gone viral as prospective buyers aren’t actually able to see the house, and will have to ‘remove’ the current tenant once the sale goes through.

The listing, which was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by ZillowGoneWild, is for a three-bedroom house worth over $215,000 in Colorado.
“This property is being sold occupied/sight--unsdeen/no access. DO NOT DISTURB THE OCCUPANTS,” it says, noting that the listing agent has no access and cannot speak to the state of the property.
“NO SHOWINGS and NO PROPERTY ACCESS for inspections or otherwise. NO TRESPASSING. Buyer will be responsible for obtaining possession of the property upon closing.”
Reports have noted that the house actually belongs to Tori McMechan’s husband, James, with her calling the listing “unreal.”
“It’s going to be pretty difficult; I’m not leaving willingly,” she told 9News. “I’m staying. They can come on in, but I’m not leaving.”
As per a 2010 report from the Greeley Tribune, McMechan’s husband was killed in a car crash, and she has been living alone since then and fighting to maintain ownership of it. Tori told 9News she hopes to be ‘evicted’ so that she can get a jury trial over the ownership of the home.
Court documents state that the property deed belongs to Deutsche Bank, saying that the loan on the house was defaulted on back in 2010.
She has sued lenders twice, arguing that they have been “unwilling” to work with her and that there was no clear paper trail on the loans being passed between lenders. Both lawsuits were dismissed by judges.47:T10ff, A house listing in Colorado has gone viral on
