Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo will produce and star in his own TV show about agents in the sport, with acclaimed actor Damian Lewis to appear opposite him.
Ronaldo is coming off the back of a pretty disappointing World Cup campaign, with Portugal crashing out in the round of 16 and losing to eventual winners Spain.
However, it's not taken him long to bounce back with some good news, especially if you're a fan of sports drama on the small screen.
Cristiano Ronaldo taps up Thierry Henry and Dave to join TV series
The show will be titled Day 1s and comes under Cristiano Ronaldo's new UR•Marv Studio banner, a production company collaboration with highly-rated film director Matthew Vaughn (known for films like Kick-Ass, Kingsman, and Layer Cake).
It'll be a fictional story about a UK-based football agent called Stanley Dalton, who will be played by Damian Lewis. The script was developed by real-life football agent Darren Dein, who represents Thierry Henry among other clients.
It has also been confirmed that former Arsenal and France star Henry will feature in the show, as well as London-based rapper Dave.
Filming has already started on the show, with shooting taking place in London, specifically at the stadium of Barnet FC. The project is being financed solely by UR•Marv.
It's said the aim of the studio when it comes to producing titles like this is to "embrace innovative technology, with a nod to tradition."
As per a report from The Sun, there is likely to be a "bidding war" for the project when it comes to finding a streaming service to house the series in the future.
Aside from short promotional films for Nike and EA Sports, this will be Ronaldo's first substantial acting credit. He also has an animated series called Striker Force 7 on the way, which will feature a cartoon version of Ronaldo that he will voice himself.
On this new step in his career, Ronaldo said: "This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures."43:T
