Sony, Destiny y Bungie vuelve a escena con una noticia reciente

La cobertura suma una actualización útil sobre Sony, Destiny y Bungie y su impacto en Destiny.

More than 400,000 Destiny fans have signed a petition to urge Sony to make Destiny 3 after Bungie confirmed it was stopping updates for Destiny 2.

Back in late May, Bungie confirmed that updates for Destiny 2 would come to an end and they would, instead, be focusing on Marathon in the immediate future.

“While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2,” Bungie stated. Shortly after that, players began review-bombing Marathon on different platforms, and it was reported that Bungie devs only learned about the change when the announcement was made and had no prior heads-up.

Some players have gone a different way about things, however, starting up a petition to try and get Sony to greenlight the development of Destiny 3.

The Change.Org petition was kick-started by Harley Casto, saying that the “desire for new adventures, fresh storylines, and innovative gameplay features is palpable among players everywhere.”

It reached 170,000 signees in late May, but it has since jumped to over 400,000 voices since then, with many sharing stories about how much the series means to them.

“This game is truly one of a kind and it shouldn't just fade away like this with so much fuel left in the tank and so many people wanting more,” one commenter said.

“There is nothing else like this series, and the memories and friends I’ve made over the past 12 years are something I’ll always value,” added another.

It has been reported that Bungie doesn’t have Destiny 3 in development, and there was a layoff in late June that affected a few hundred employees. Ultimately, it remains to be seen if this petition will gain any traction within the halls of Sony and Bungie’s offices, but it isn’t going away.45:Tee0, More than 400,
