Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebrations are ongoing throughout 2026 and via unlikely means, as fans are now able to explore a giant maze styled in the shape of Pikachu and other iconic characters.
Officially opened on July 18 in the UK, the 13-acre maze has been carved to feature Pikachu and the Gen 1 starters Charmander and Squirtle. Ironically, given its location, Grass-type Bulbasaur doesn't make an appearance. Poor guy.
Anyone wanting to take on the trail can navigate more than 1.9 miles of winding paths, with the experience typically taking between 45 minutes and an hour and a half to complete, according to organizers, Skylark.
The seasonal attraction runs daily through September 1, with online tickets starting at around $19 (£14) for adults and $22 (£16) for children.
Alongside the maze, guests have access to other attractions, including go-karts, pig racing, water games, giant slides, paddling pools and a daily foam party.
If you're solely in the market for Pokémon-themed entertainment, though, attendees can also sit down for a "Picnic with Pikachu" in a Pokémon-themed marquee. Probably one for the kids.
Skylark says it chose Pokémon as this year's theme to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary and attempted to create its "biggest Pokémon image ever."
The Pokémon Company has previously celebrated the franchise's 30th anniversary by collaborating with watch-makers Casio, as well as with an upcoming TCG set dedicated to the occasion. Whether you'll be able to find packs of the latter before scalpers get to them when it releases in September is another matter entirely.44
