Old, School y RuneScape vuelve a escena con una noticia reciente

La cobertura suma una actualización útil sobre Old, School y RuneScape y su impacto en Gaming.

Old School RuneScape has officially crossed over with Meccha Chameleon, bringing the iconic town of Lumbridge to 2026’s biggest indie breakout.

Jagex teamed up with community creators 8sat and Soup to transform Lumbridge into a custom map for the multiplayer hide-and-seek game.

“Ever wanted to play Meccha Chameleon in RuneScape” the official Old School RuneScape account asked while announcing the collaboration on July 19.

The free map recreates Lumbridge’s distinct low-poly appearance, including the castle grounds, surrounding buildings, fences, riverside areas, and familiar NPCs dotted around the town.

That makes it a surprisingly natural fit for Meccha Chameleon, which challenges players to paint their completely white characters and pose alongside their surroundings without being spotted by the opposing team.

The Workshop listing describes Lumbridge as “the most iconic area in Runescape, now playable in Meccha Chameleon.”

Its creators also thanked Jagex, Mod Frogs, Sofa, Synq, and ConnorDY for helping produce the map. According to its update history, it includes multiple sets of RuneScape character and item props, including a purple partyhat, dragonfire shield, and pieces of Third Age armor.

The map was originally published on July 10 before receiving a public release update on July 15. It had already attracted nearly 50,000 subscribers by the time Jagex publicly promoted it four days later. The map is available through the Meccha Chameleon Steam Workshop.
