Olive Garden has responded to concerns about bots and scalpers after all 10,000 of its returning Never-Ending Pasta Passes sold out almost immediately.

The restaurant chain brought back the highly sought-after pass on July 16 for the first time since 2019, charging $100 plus tax for 13 weeks of unlimited pasta.

Sales opened at 2 p.m. ET, with tens of thousands of customers reportedly entering the online queue. Olive Garden confirmed around two hours later that every available pass had been claimed.

“All 10,000 Never-Ending Pasta Passes have been sold!” the company announced. “But don’t fear, more pasta goodness awaits. Stay tuned to our IG the next couple of weeks…you never know what saucy secrets are up our sleeves.”

The rapid sellout sparked complaints from disappointed customers, with some questioning whether automated bots had overwhelmed the website or secured passes for scalpers.

Olive Garden says Pasta Pass cannot be transferred

Responding directly to the concerns, Olive Garden claimed it had implemented protections intended to prevent individual buyers or automated systems from gaining an unfair advantage.

“We’ve built safeguards into the process to help ensure a fair experience,” the company said. “The system was designed to manage traffic, limit purchase quantities, and prevent behaviors like repeated refreshing from impacting access.”

Olive Garden also stressed that the passes are personalized, making them difficult to resell even if scalpers managed to purchase them.

“The Never-Ending Pasta Pass is only for use by the Passholder whose name is printed on the Pass,” it explained. “Passes are personalized and non-transferable. Passholders must present a valid photo I.D. along with the Pass at the time of ordering.”

The official terms confirm customers cannot change the name printed on their pass and must show identification whenever they use it.

Passholders can begin using the promotion on August 24, receiving unlimited dine-in pasta, sauces, protein toppings, soup or salad, and breadsticks through November 22.

Those who missed out can still order Olive Garden’s regular Never-Ending Pasta Bowl when it returns nationwide on August 31, with prices starting at $14.99.46:T13f6, Olive Garden has re
